obvservation #3

Today is June 1, 2010. This is the third obvservation I have done on the irrigation ditch in my backyard. Today it is 61.5 degrees outside. There are big black clouds heading this way, but right now it is sunny, and moist outside. There has been now wind at all. The soil around the the irrigation ditch is wet from all the rain that we have been getting lately. The irrigation ditch is finally flooded! All the debree, twigs, branches, and moss has been washed out of the dtich. There are frogs that have started to pop up along the banks of the ditch. I also notice that the willow tree along the banks of the ditch have start to grow there leaves. This could be due to the rain, and the irrigation ditch flooding. I think in my next obvservation I will see the debree all washed away. I also think that I will see more frogs pop up, and maybe see some new plants.

P.S I won the bet. The ditch was flooded. You owe me $5

  1. Good, general observations about the activity in your observation area. Still look more at the ecology concepts. For your 4th observations look at the food chains/food webs in your area and also make species identifications. 12/15
