flora report

In My obvservations I have notice that there have been lots of Dandelions. The Dandelion is a weed that can grow to be anywhere from 2 inches to 12 inches tall. The Dandelion flower head is arounded 1 to 2 inches long and is covered in little strans of yellow peddles. The Dandelions have a unique way of spreading its seeds. When the Dandelions start to die the flower heads turn into this ball of seeds. These are not just regualr seeds. They are seeds that are crafted so that when there is some wind the wind blows the seeds off the Dandelion, and is carried through the wind to different areas. This is how the weed spreads to different areas so quickly. The Dandelions grow anywhere that is wet. This could be a lawn, meadows, and pastures. The Dandelions also supply necture that is eatin by bees. Because the Dandelions attract bees, then were ever the Dandelions are, so are bees. So this changes the biodiversity in the area that Dandelions are. The Dandelions can play a big role in the biodiversity in an area. If there is a animal that live by the Dandelions, and the Dandelions attract bees, then the animal might leave the area because of the bees. So the Dandelions can change the biodiversity in an area.
